Ask the President

An exciting new initiative from the President of Centennial College, Ann Buller:

I am pleased to announce the official launch of the ASK THE PRESIDENT communications program. This is your opportunity to ask me questions about issues affecting students at Centennial College. You may, for example, wonder how decisions get made within the College, or how to become more involved in campus life.

Send me your question via email to: askthepresident@centennialcollege.ca. Each month, a broadcast message on myCentennial will provide students a response to submitted questions.

ASK THE PRESIDENT is a communications tool designed to provide Centennial College students with clarity and insight. I think it is important to ensure we have some basic rules of etiquette supporting this new communications tool, so here is the “fine print”:

ASK THE PRESIDENT provides us with an opportunity to discuss broad issues affecting students at Centennial.
- Personal or highly specific questions regarding programs or services (e.g. questions about course requirements or financial issues) should be directed to the appropriate department or office within the College.
- Questions that make reference to another person or seek resolution to an ongoing conflict will not be eligible for a response. We have appropriate channels for resolving such conflicts.
- Please try to keep emails short and concise.
- Questions may be edited for clarity. We may combine ideas or questions from multiple submissions.
- Emails must be sent from a myCentennial email address and you must provide your name. Questions submitted anonymously are not eligible for a response.
- My office is the only area of the College with access to the originating email. Your privacy will be protected and your name will never be referenced within a response.
- Please note that individual emails will most likely not receive a personal response and questions may not be responded to within the same month that they are submitted.
- Within the Centennial College community, we have made a commitment to ensuring that all communication is ethical and respectful. Submissions and responses must fulfill this commitment.
- Responses will be managed by my office, and in many cases the response will be directly from me. However, responses to questions of a specific nature about an operational unit will require input from others within the College.

Have fun, be creative, and help your fellow students become better informed by sending in your questions. I look forward to hearing from you!

With respect,

Ann Buller
